Updates
and Bug Fixes
Version
5.15
·
Updated
the User Editor, moving the power/HR zone tabs out to their own tabs. This
reduced screen clutter and allowed for more flexibility when future editor
updates are implemented.
·
Improved
the user experience when installing updates from the internet through PerfPRO.
It is now a very simple process where the update is downloaded and installed
without any user interaction. The installation knows where to put the update.
During the installation process PerfPRO is shut down, re-installed, and
restarted for you. This is now the preferred method of updating rather than
re-downloading from the website and manually reinstalling. Go into Options and
in the Startup Tab if you want this check done each time PerfPRO is started.
·
Slightly
revamped the TrainingPeaks upload process. Unique login credentials are now
stored for each rider, which can be changed by editing their profile. The login
username/password can be changed within the Custom tab. This opened the door to
now allow multiple athletes’ data to get uploaded to the TP website in one
click.
·
Added
an option to automatically upload performances to the TrainingPeaks website
when new performances are detected. This option is similar to the auto feature
for uploading race reports (plus email) to the PerfPRO website. You can enable
this setting within the Startup tab in Options.
·
Added
a monthly usage report for all athletes. This can be run from within the
Reports menu. This report is handy for MultiRider studios that keep track of
monthly usage. Some studios charge on a monthly basis so this feature provides
a quick way to see if athletes are staying within their monthly usage plan.
·
Bug Fix: Routine user
maintenance checks bike weight to verify it is more than zero. In some cases it
was found not everyone wants a non-zero bike weight value. This has been fixed
to keep zero’d out bike weights from being affected.
This is only important if you are using the MultiRider export feature.
·
Bug Fix: Found that the
CompuTrainer 3D software would fail if a course leg created in the PerfPRO
Course Editor was larger than 10-miles. Now when creating courses within the
editor, any leg entered greater than 10-miles defaults to 10-miles (or 10K).
·
Bug Fix: Small bug found in
the Grid View when analyzing performances. When analyzing an ERG CompuTrainer
workout with short steps/intervals (< 30seconds) the Normalized Power to
Load comparison was incorrect. NP cannot be calculated under 30seconds so in
this case average watts are now used to give an accurate comparison.
·
Bug Fix: A bug was found in
calculating xPower (along with BikeScore
and Relative Intensity) when the sample rate was very low. This is common for
Garmin files using the common Smart mode. This has been fixed.
Version
5.12
·
Providing
another means of sharing workouts, PerfPRO can now post workouts to the
TrainingPeaks website. Simply select any of your workouts from the race log
then use the “TP” button to post them up to your TrainingPeaks account. Each
time you upload one or more performances you are prompted for a user name and
password. This login information is encrypted and saved for you so it’s quick
to post the next time. Go into Options under the General tab to decide how you
want to post your performance data to their website. This feature will continue
to grow as time progresses.
·
Added
file associations to PerfPRO. You can now associate the various performance and
course files so they are opened by PerfPRO from within Windows Explorer.
·
Added
rider monthly usage information in the Athlete’s tab. Use the “Show Info”
button to select this option. For each rider selected you’ll see monthly usage
information going back two months (or 3 including this month). This can be
helpful for quick usage information or if you have a multi-rider studio that
charges a monthly fee based on usage (e.g., 30hrs per month usage).
·
Improved the Training Plans area to tie in created
Plans to entries a little better. With this release, any new entries created
within a plan can only be viewed when that plan is selected. This keeps
multiple plans with overlapping timeframes from showing up in the same
calendar.
·
If multiple athletes exist you can now create a
training plan for all athletes. From the Training Plan area, you can select
“All Athletes” then create a new plan. Plans now contain unique titles to help
customize each plan. You can also continue to create entries that are not
contained within a plan like you could in the past.
·
Updated initialization so if the JET database engine
is not present PerfPRO will attempt to use the ACE database engine. A utility
has also been included to make these settings. This is mainly for Windows 7
Ultimate (64bit) users.
·
Updated/Improved some areas of the interface.
·
Updated the MultiRider export utility. If RacerMate
One is installed you now have the option to setup which riders are riding which
trainer within this utility. It’ll then set up the selected riders for all
areas, including 3D, Power Training, and whatever else is available in their
software for riding multiple people. You can find this utility quicker for
setting up riders than their software. Use the “Export Athletes to RacerMate
One” feature within the Export menu to make sure both PerfPRO and RacerMate one
match up. You can then maintain the riders from PerfPRO only.
·
Updated the Athletes tab with a search bar. This is
useful if you are managing a lot of riders within PerfPRO.
·
Improved how race log entries are displayed after
the CS Exporter and Studio software are used. When performances are exported
via the CS Exporter, PerfPRO will now look at how many riders were exported and
the date the newest performance and display the most current race log. This
will help to continue analyze those most recently exported performances.
·
When using the “Post to Web” or “Post to Web and
Email” feature from the race log, you can now select multiple performances for
quicker batch posting. Each athlete has to have a valid email set and the From
Email/Name has to be set within the Email Templates tab in Options.
·
Added a feature to automatically post and email
athletes when new performance files are detected. This becomes extremely useful
in a MultiRider environment. Be sure to setup your email templates within
options before using this function.
·
Bug Fix: Found that
installing Internet Explorer 9 caused problems with the Email Template editor
(non-functional) along with sending email notifications (originally thought to
be certain internet providers). PerfPRO should be able to send through all
providers now.
·
Bug Fix: For the
TrainingPeaks upload, there were sometimes problems when the user entered the
wrong username/password. This has been fixed.
·
Bug Fix: For the
TrainingPeaks upload, course longitude/latitude information was sometimes not
properly uploading to the site. This has been fixed.
·
Bug Fix: The lap
indicator was not being read correctly for newer extended iBike
CSV files. This has been corrected. REMINDER: Open a performance and
use the Analyze tab to view lap times.
